The Primary school started in the year 1982. His Excellency, The Governor of Karnataka Shri A.N.Banergi, laid the foundation stone on 17th September 1984. The Primary school runs classes from I – VII std.
Our school begins with prayer, students get platform to read the ‘Thought for the Day’ and the ‘News’ with confidence in front of all the students. To impart basic skills and to keep our children rooted to our culture, they recite shlokas from Bhagavadgita every day. Classes are vibrant with expressions, emotions, vocabulary usage through activities. Apart from academics, extracurricular activities, exhibition, excursions are imparted to enhance the quality of education. The school encourages the pupils to take up competitive examinations pertaining to their curriculum conducted by International Olympiad Online Examinations.
During the pandemic, it was a massive challenge for the teaching faculty to keep the children engage. It was done in a methodical way through recorded video classes where explanation of each lesson was done in a meticulous way. Live interaction with children and parents by the Principal and teachers helped to mellow down the critical situation to a great extent. Live online classes created a great impact on children. The conventional teaching turned to a technical one with proper guidance by the professionals.
‘The one thing that never change is change itself’. Teachers and students welcomed all the changes in this new normal. Sharing knowledge to children happened in an uninterrupted way and priority was given to the mental wellbeing of the children.
Whatever situation comes the school caters to the individual potential of the child for all round development. Thus, shaping the young minds into worthy citizens of tomorrow. Knowledge is the treasure but practice is the key for it, which happens in our institution at the primary level.
