September 2024

Teachers’ Day Celebrations

Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 05.09.2024 with great fervour. Students entertained the teachers with a variety of cultural programmes. They gave a speech on the importance of Teachers’ Day.
Teachers of Pre-Primary, Primary and High School assembled in the Auditorium. Wishes from His Holiness, Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji was conveyed through an Audio Record.
Sri. K. Subrahmanya, Hon. Secretary, Dr. Prof K.N. Hari Bhat Hon. Jt Secretary were present for the programme. They wished all the teachers and said that teachers role is very important in a student’s life. Teachers gave a short cultural programme.

Onam Celebrations

Onam was celebrated with fervour decorating the lamp with Pookolam on 17.09.2024. All the staff traditionally went around the Pookolam, which brought in lot of cherishable happy moments.

Hindi Diwas

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14.09.2024. Children briefed about the importance of Hindi language and displayed articles related to Hindi.

Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated on 12.09.2024 to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Students of Class III, displayed colourful drawings, Ganesha idols and chanted Ganesha Shlokas.

Sanskrit Day Celebrations

Sanskrit Day was celebrated on 29.08.2024 to cherish the glory of Sanskrit language. Mrs. Myna Reddy N.S, Principal spoke about the importance of Sanskrit language and said that it is the most versatile language.

Medical Checkup

Dr. Harshith N, MBBS. Orthopedic Surgeon and his team conducted a general
health check up for the students of Classes I to VII and for the faculty.

Doctors conducted an adolescence awareness programme for the classes V – VII, Girls and Boys separately on 7.08.2024.

Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations

Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on 27.08.2024. Students of Std. I and II brought beautiful Krishna dolls, pots , drawings, fruits, small quantity of prasadam as a part of show and tell classes.

Independence Day Celebrations

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated on 15.08.2024 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The chief guest of the day was Sri. Nagaraj.G. Police Sub Inspector,Yelahanka. He hoisted the National Flag and witnessed the March past by the students of Classes V-VII. He gave an inspiring speech and spoke about the sacrifices of freedom fighters.

D.P.T Vaccination

DPT and TD vaccinations were given for the Classes 1 and 4 respectively on 10th July 2024, initiated by Health Department.

Health Awareness Programme

Health department had conducted an awareness talk on Dengue and Chikungunya for the Classes 5 to 7 on 8.07.2024. The Doctor briefly explained about symptoms, treatment and preventive measures to be taken for Dengue and Chikungunya.

Founder’s Day Celebrations 04-07-2024

Founder’s day was celebrated on 04.07.2023 (Thursday) marking the tribute to the Lotus feet of His Holiness Shree Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji, the Founder President of Poornaprajna Education Centre. Lighting the lamp, Invocation , Guru Vandana ,Bhagavad – Gita chanting, speech and dance were the part of the programme. Chief Guest Dr. K. Srihari, Hon. Secretary USAMEC released the magazine “BELAKU” 2024. Dr. K. Srihari highlighted the life, moral and achievements of our Founder President.

June 2024

World Environment Day

World Environment Day was celebrated in the school with the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience.” Motivational Slogans on Environment were written by the children on the placards, variety of plant saplings were displayed. Speech and songs related to environment was a part of the celebration. We the staff and children took an oath to protect our mother earth.

International Day of Yoga

International Day of Yoga was observed on 21.06.2024. Students of Class V, VI and VII performed Suryanamaskara and displayed various asanas. Chinmay.S of Class VII spoke about the benefits of yoga in our daily life.
Chief Guest Shri. H.S. Ramesh, High School Principal, appreciated the children for their performance and advised them to practice yoga everyday to keep them healthy. The Chief guest highlighted that Yoga keeps our body & mind fresh & relaxed.

WORKSHOPS

1. On May 15th at 3.00 p.m. there was an online meeting with His Holiness Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji. This meet was regarding Spoken English and Spirituality which should be introduced for all the classes. This was attended by Principal Mrs. Myna Reddy N.S and two Staff members – Mrs. R. Veena and Mr. Srikant N.
2. One day enrichment programme in English by Prof. A.P Kodancha was scheduled on 24/05/2025 at WIDIA PPEC, Six teachers from Primary Section attended the programme.
3. Basic Training in Fire prevention and fire fighting was attended by Mr. Sunder Raj J. K., (P.E Teacher) and Mr. Kumar H.S. (Attendant) which was conducted on 28th and 29th of May 2024 at R.A Mundkur Fire And Emergency Services Academy Bengaluru 560029.

PARENT TEACHER MEETING FOR CLASS I

First Standard Parent Teacher Meeting was conducted on 21/05/2024 (Tuesday) in the auditorium. Principal Mrs. Myna Reddy N.S addressed the gathering. She discussed the curriculum and events for the academic year 2024-25 through a power point presentation. The Class Teachers, Assistant Teachers and Subject Teachers were introduced to the parents. Parents interacted with the Principal.

Sports Prize Distribution

Sports prize distribution was held on 03.03.24 (Saturday). The Chief Guest of the day was Master. Nagarjuna.V, 5th Dan Black Belt, Taekwondo artist, International Instructor and Examiner, Founder-Asian Taekwondo Academy and Fitness Centre. He distributed the prizes for winners. He gave an encouraging speech and congratulated all the prize winners. He also demonstrated few martial arts on self-defence. Literary Prize distribution was held on 08.02.2024(Thursday). The Chief Guest was Smt. Poornima Yellapurkar, Passionate Artist, Charcoal and Realism Specialist . She is also the Founder and Owner at Artz .She distributed the prizes and show-cased her talent to the audience by sketching lord Ganesh using charcoal and graphite. She gave an inspiring speech and suggested parents to encourage their children in the field of their interests. Saanvi S Gowda of 4th std. and Nishita K of 5th std. were the Literary Champions.

A memory improvement workshop was conducted for classes V,VI & VII by Mr. Venu C.V, Author, Mind coach & Memory Trainer, on 3.02.2024 (Saturday) . In this session, children were given different tips for improving their learning skills.

Republic Day celebration

Republic Day was celebrated with great fervour and patriotism at the High School. The Chief Guest, our Hon. Secretary Sri. K Subrahmanya sir, unfurled the National Flag. He said that we all have gathered on this day for a purpose, which is to work for the progress of our country. As Teachers and Parents it is our prime duty to inculcate physical and mental discipline among children for the better future. March-past, Song, Speech, Band and Yoga displays were the highlights of the day.

Annual Exhibition

Our Annual Exhibition, ‘Edu-Vision’ had the theme – ‘Five Elements of Nature’, The Chief Guest was Dr. Naresh Nalajala , Assistant Professor, Material Sciences and Catalysis Division Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research. He inaugurated the exhibition. The Chief Guest gave an inspiring speech and requested each child to grow a plant, which in turn will save 4 people’s life. He explained about the Carbon Trade Market and Carbon Credits. They are the way of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. He also spoke about Green electricity.

Gita Jayanthi

Gita Jayanthi holds great religious importance among Hindus. Mr. Srikanth, Sanskrit Teacher spoke about the significance of the day. Children were advised to make a habit of reading Bhagavad Gita and to inculcate the virtues like honesty, self control etc.

National Mathematics Day

It is celebrated every year on December 22nd, which is the Birth Anniversary of our great Mathematician Dr. Srinivasa Ramanujan, to honour his achievements. To enhance the significance of the day, Ananya P. Kulkarni of Class 7 spoke about the importance of the National Mathematics day. The young enthusiasts displayed many models and charts to mark the day.

Annual Day Celebrations

The School’s Annual Day was celebrated on 18/12/2023 at the High School premises. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by H.H. Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji, President Udupi Sri Admar Mutt Education Council.
The Chief Guest of the day was Prof. (Dr). T.R. Subramanya, Dean, School of Legal Studies and Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi . He was welcomed by our Hon. Secretary Sri. K. Subrahmanya Sir. The Chief Guest distributed the prizes for Merit Students and the Best Outgoing Students. He gave an inspiring speech.
The Annual Report of the school highlighting the events and achievements held during the year 2023- 2024 was presented by Mrs. Myna Reddy N.S., Primary Principal.

Inter PPEC Science Exhibition

The Royal Society of Chemistry in association with Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research had organized Green Chemistry Exhibition at Sadashivanagar PPEC. Students were appreciated for their innovative ideas.

Children’s Day Celebrations

Children’s Day was celebrated on 15/11/2023. The programme began with a special assembly conducted by teachers, where in Mrs. R. Veena spoke about the importance of the day and Mrs. Rama Kulkarni used a Sanskrit verse that highlights the five qualities students should possess. Teachers enthralled the students with energetic dance and melodious song. The children were kept entertained the whole day with games and fun filled activities.

Deepawali Celebrations

The Festival of lights was celebrated at the school by displaying the hand made lanterns and colourful diyas made by the students and seeked the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.

Kannada Rajyotsava

Kannada Rajyostava was celebrated on 1/11/2023, with great enthusiasm. The children put up a grand show with programmes like songs, dance and speech. The Chief Guest of the day was Sri. Muni Kempanna Rtd., Professor and Artist. He appreciated the children and teachers for their efforts. He showcased his talent through his dialogue delivery and inspired all of us.

Hindi Diwas was observed on 14.09.2023. The Chief Guest of the day was Sri M.S Suresh Kumar, Passionate Tree Planter, Sahakarnagar, Bengaluru. He gave an inspiring speech to save our environment, preserve our resources for the future generation. Our Chief Guest is appreciated for his work by our beloved Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modiji in ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He is also known as Salumarada Suresh Kumar.
Students put up a grand show. The highlights of the day were puppetry, dance , Hindi letters predicting Great Personalities, mudra dance and a song on Maa (mother).

He hoisted the National Flag and witnessed the March past by the students of Classes V-VII. He gave an inspiring speech and motivated children to be good citizens of India. He appreciated the teachers for their efforts in bringing up the future citizens in the right path.
The students of Class VII spoke about the importance of Independence Day in Kannada and English. Children from Classes I – IV gave a dance display – ‘Mera Bharath Mahan’.

Mobile Planetarium—At your Door Step

The School had organized a Mobile Planetarium show for the students of Std. I –VII. The idea was to bring an opportunity to help the students learn more about the universe, as this experiential learning programme suited the students of all the age groups. It was setup by ‘The Sky Park’, a mobile planetarium, on 10th and 11th of August 2023.

Eye Check-up

Vision Screening was conducted on 10.08.2023 and 24.08.2023 by the Lions Club of Vidyaranyapura in association with Aloka Vision Program by ZEISS. The students from Std. I – VII and Teachers and Non Teaching staff also were examined. Prescription cards were given to students who had defects in vision, for the further follow-up. Few children were given spectacles by the Aloka Vision.

Parent - Teacher Meeting for Class 7:

Parent – Teacher Meeting for the Formative Assessment –1 was held on 21st July 2023(Friday), for Class VII in the afternoon session in the auditorium. Mrs. Myna Reddy N.S. (Principal) addressed the gathering and read out the names of the toppers of the First Formative Assessment and appreciated them. She also briefed about the Common PPEC Examination.

Founder’s Day Celebrations 06.07.2023

Founder’s day was observed on 06.07.2023 (Thursday). Our Founder President H. H. Sri Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji was known for his innovative thoughts and outspoken nature.
He was a great philanthropist.
Our Chief Guest , Sri K Subrahmanya Sir, Hon. Secretary of our school released the Annual School Magazine – ‘Belaku’. He said that our Swamiji built the institution for people of our society without any discrimination. Anyone can study in our schools , irrespective of their caste, creed or religion. More than 30,000 students are studying in our schools , all over the country. By imbibing good qualities, we can become good citizens of the country, which makes our Swamiji’s soul happy.

Story Narration

As a part of the curriculum, story narration classes are held, once in a week for the students of Classes V – VII, in two batches. This is to encourage the students to learn important lessons in life. Sri. Vikrama Simha has made the session very interesting by telling stories with morals having happy ending which are mostly chosen from our epics. Children are very enthusiastic to listen to the stories.

International Day of Yoga

The theme for this year is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” was observed on 21.06.23. The Yoga Day aimed to create awareness among students, about the holistic nature of yoga and encouraged them to incorporate it in their daily lives for an enhanced well being.

Principals from PPEC Sadashivanagar, Krishnanagar, Indiranagar, Yelahanka and Widia attended the meeting held at Sadashivanagar PPEC on 10.06.23. The meeting was with respect to common PPEC Examination for VII std., text books, Co-curricular activities and other related topics.

Parent Teacher Meeting for Class V was held in the auditorium on 09.06.23. The Principal addressed the gathering. She briefed on the curriculum, text books, uniform and other matters of concern. She also mentioned that attendance is compulsory for all the National festivals held at school.

World Environment Day

The Activities of the school started with the celebrations of the “World Environment Day” with the theme “Beat Plastic”, on 05.06.23. Students from Classes V – VII took up different tasks like –
Display of the saplings of a wide variety of plants.
Placards with different slogans and messages to protect and save our environment.
Speeches and songs in support of the day’s celebrations.
